First Mutual Properties Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Susan M. Mutangadura as an independent non-executive Member of the Board with effect from 1 August 2024.
Susan Mutangadura is a distinguished professional with extensive qualifications and experience in law, arbitration, and corporate governance. Her expertise spans international arbitration, legal practice, company secretarial practice, corporate governance, tax law, strategic planning, marketing, resource mobilization, revenue growth, cost management, insurance and risk management, stakeholder management, and talent management. She is a qualified and certified International Arbitrator (ArbP- Swiss Arbitration Academy), a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK, and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors Zimbabwe (IoDZ). As a qualified lawyer and registered Legal Practitioner, Conveyancer, and Notary Public of the High Court of Zimbabwe, she has been on the panel of arbitrators at the Commercial Arbitration Centre in Harare since 2013. Additionally, she was appointed to the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (AFSA) International Division and the AFSA/SADC Division panel of arbitrators.
Susan has held significant leadership roles, including Country Manager/Managing Director for AON Zimbabwe Ltd, and has over 25 years of senior management and board experience. She has served as the inaugural Company Secretary and Legal Advisor for the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority and as Group Managing Director for SFG Insurance Holdings. Her leadership also extends to various board roles, including Chairman of the Institute of Directors of Zimbabwe Council, Chairman of the Culture Fund of Zimbabwe Board of Trustees, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of NetOne Cellular Private Limited. Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors of Khayah Cement Limited and as a Trustee of the Legal Resources Foundation. She is also the Vice Chairman of the School of Business and Management Sciences Industrial Advisory Board as well as a Member of the Legal Committee of the Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe.
