The Chairman, Directors and staff members of First Mutual Properties Limited extend their heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies on the sad loss of Mr Samuel Rushwaya on 18th March 2026.

Mr Rushwaya first served on the boards of First Mutual Holdings Limited and First Mutual Life Assurance Company between 2004 and 2007. He rejoined the First Mutual Life Board in 2012 and the First Mutual Holdings Board in 2014. From 2012, he served as Chairman of First Mutual Life, providing steady and principled leadership.

In 2023, he was appointed to the First Mutual Properties Board, continuing his long-standing commitment to the Group. Over the years, Mr Rushwaya also served with distinction on several committees. As reflected in his distinguished career and board service across multiple institutions, he contributed meaningfully to Zimbabwe’s corporate and economic landscape over many decades. It was a great honour to know him and his wisdom, leadership and influence will be sorely missed.
